I just got back from lone peak, and I'm just spent....

for hells sakes
So, for technical reasons I lost my big blog about my hike.
Let me sum up:
I showed up to hike at a parking lot at 1:50 for a 2:00 meet up.
Now you ask Who the hell starts a hike on a 90 degree day at 2pm.
Well, the morons I was hiking with. As I hit the trail head I got a phone call "we are going to be 10-20 minutes late." Realize from this persons house, to this trail head is 15-20 minutes. At 2:30 when I realized, that not only were they going to be 20 minutes late but more like 40. Also that they had so little regard for me that they would allow me to stand around for nearly an hour waiting while they "got Coffee" and "stopped for some snacks". I realized, I don't need these kind of hiking companions or friends. Fuck Heads.... I do have some pride. I'm not some asshole to stand around waiting for some Jackasses who have their heads up their ass. A fucking hour in the hot sun.
I made this hike in half the time "hiking the wasatch"(the bible for hiking the wasatch)
Since I didn't have anyone whining I decided to summit the peak on the left there.
After the ridiculous lunch I packed. I rarely pack this heavy, but figured since I had slow people.
The peak to the right in this picture is gobblers knob. This is half way to the summit. Below gobblers is a pass on the right there, that is where Dog lake is.
Almost there, this is the saddle down there is Deer valley ski resort.
Park city is out in the distance.
ya, there is a tram or ski lift or something.... Damn ski resorts.
Summit.... Ya, some fucking measuring equipment. Some scientists put this up here since he/she could use the lift to get here.
Deer valley again.

Scramble on the ridge on the way down.
Dusk coming on me as I decent home.
Good day, Great hike... and discarded some people from my life who think I exist to wait for them.

Figured I'd blog this morning
Gold has been up, Knock on wood. Looking to open a little weaker than it's close on Friday.
Lindsey lohan checked into rehab to avoid going to prison with Paris Hilton.
Well, I tried to post.
and what the hell, with the Russians talking big about a missile shield. Who is going to bomb Russia or china for that matter....... What do they think, it's the 80's, or is he just trying to convince someone that they are major international players. Russian corruption is ruining any significant economic significance for the former soviets.
I just heard this from a pharmaceutical company rep. "well, this is good news for cancer patients, we have turned this into a chronic condition, we don't have a cure but there can be a treatment or multiple treatments with numerous drugs. Any idea when the public will realize that Pharma companies aren't interested in "Cures" but just in Treatments.
